On the proving grounds of the Volkswagen Group, and in the presence of a representative of Guinness Book of Records, the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 267.81 mph. The car had 1,200 hp, a maximum torque of 1,106 lbs.-ft., and a limited top speed of 257.9 mph (to protect the tires), all of which offers experienced drivers a whole new dimension of excitement.
